Air Quality Technicians
Job Description
Assists air quality scientists/meteorologists in processing and analyzing data and preparing reports related to air pollution and meteorological monitoring through the Air Quality Monitoring Network. The duties also include assisting air quality scientists/meteorologists in operating the mobile air quality monitoring unit and the FTIR device for measuring air pollutants and maintaining the air filters and equipment belonging to the Royal Commission, which are used in air monitoring stations. The technician must hold a university degree or diploma in Meteorology, Atmospheric Sciences, or Environmental Sciences (or an equivalent scientific or engineering field) with a minimum of one year of experience in air quality or air pollution monitoring. The candidate should have good writing skills and proficiency in the English language (speaking, reading, and writing).
