Field Enumerator
Job Description
Location: Kumasi Conduct field surveys to collect data on farm characteristics, crop types, and farming practices. Use structured questionnaires to interview farmers and gather relevant information. Ensure accurate and complete data collection in accordance with established protocols. Utilize GPS devices to map farm boundaries and plot locations. Record geographic coordinates and other spatial data accurately. Verify and cross-check GPS data for consistency and accuracy. Enter collected data into designated databases or data management systems. Maintain organized records of all data collected, ensuring confidentiality and data integrity. Liaise with farmers, local authorities, and other stakeholders to facilitate data collection activities. Provide regular updates and reports on data collection activities to the Field Supervisor. Minimum of a High School Certificate, a degree or diploma in Agriculture, Geography, Environmental Science, or a related field is preferred. Strong attention to detail and excellent observational skills. Proficiency in using GPS devices and basic knowledge of data collection tool. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Ability to travel to different locations and spend extended periods in the field. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams. Ability to ride a motorcycle with a valid riding license.
