Laboratory Technologist
Job Description
We are looking for a qualified Lab Technician to undertake a variety of laboratory procedures of technical nature. You will be handling sensitive equipment to analyze samples or substances and conduct tests reporting findings to the doctor.

Responsibilities Must possess knowledge of laboratory and experimental protocols and procedures. Must be able to utilize, calibrate, configure and/or troubleshoot laboratory testing systems and instruments. Must be able to isolate and identify specimens using advanced laboratory techniques and equipment. Must have knowledge of sterile procedures. Will be responsible for the performance of routine tests use in diagnosis and treatment of diseases, ensuring validity and accuracy of test results. Will collect, process, and handle blood and/or other biological specimen. Will perform hematology, microbiology, immunology, clinical chemistry, and urinalysis, as assigned. Conducts quantitative and qualitative chemical analyses of body fluids such as blood, urine, and spinal fluid; performs blood counts using microscope. Will conduct blood tests for transfusion purposes observing principles of asepsis to obtain blood samples. Will develop and maintain cell/tissue cultures for testing purposes. Performs quality control on test results, ensuring validity and accuracy. Performs calibration and troubleshooting on testing systems and instruments to ensure adherence to established standards of accuracy. Keeps records and reports on results according to established procedures.
