Procurement Officer
Job Description
dentify and source suppliers that meet the organization’s requirements for goods and services Obtain quotes and conduct price comparisons to ensure competitive pricing and value for money Issue purchase orders, track orders, and follow up on deliveries Maintain an up-to-date list of approved suppliers and manage the supplier database Communicate with suppliers to confirm delivery schedules, product specifications, and service requirements Ensure that goods and services are delivered on time and according to the agreed- upon terms Monitor inventory levels and ensure that procurement orders are made in accordance with the organization's needs Track delivery timelines and ensure that all incoming goods meet the necessary quality standards and specifications Assist in negotiating contracts and pricing agreements with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms for the organization Ensure that all procurement activities comply with internal procurement policies and regulatory requirements
Requirement(s)
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Supply Chain Management/Logistics or a related field Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management Experience in negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and overseeing procurement operations Proven track record of managing budgets and cost-saving initiatives Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities Strong understanding of procurement and supply chain processes and best practices
