Senior Technical Support Officer
Job Description
Work with technical team to plan, implement and supervise special technical projects on client sites; Provide high-level technical support and advice for sales team, customers or individuals in need of assistance. Oversee on-site/off-site product trials, testing and analysis. Interact with customers and gather information in response to enquiries, concerns, and requests about products and services. Identify and escalate priority issues per Client specifications and follow up and make scheduled call backs to customers where necessary. Offer alternative solutions where appropriate with the objective of retaining customers’ and clients’ business. Research required information and introduce new technologies for concrete industry. Follow standard processes and procedures in all technical activities. Stay current with products and systems information, changes and updates. Assist and support in the presentation of seminars, launches, demonstrations and training for clients and employees. Organize and prepare records and reports such as: equipment and supply inventories, accident and damage reports, monthly expense and activity reports, and personnel records and forward to supervisor. Manage and prepare technical document. e.g. data sheet, submission specification, drawings, product presentations, etc. Manage product information data base; safety datasheets, technical datasheets, etc. Handle technical issues on construction sites. Requirement(s)
5+ years of technical / engineering experience OR A foundation degree in a relevant discipline with 3+ years of engineering experience OR A second degree in a related field with 2+ years’ experience in engineering. Proven technical experience in construction chemicals, materials testing and product development.
