Job Description

Duty station: Kumasi Transportation: Safely transport company staff and others to various destinations, ensuring timely and secure arrivals. Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure that the assigned vehicle is well-maintained, clean, and in good working condition. Conduct regular checks on the vehicle (oil, tire pressure, fuel, etc.) and arrange for necessary maintenance or repairs. Route Planning: Plan and follow the most efficient routes to ensure timely arrival at destinations. Stay informed about traffic, weather conditions, and alternative routes. Client and Stakeholder Interaction: Provide excellent customer service to staff, clients, and external stakeholders while in the vehicle, maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor. Logistical Support: Assist with delivery or pick-up of documents, packages, or other materials as needed, ensuring confidentiality and proper handling of all items. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of travel routes, vehicle maintenance, fuel usage, and any incidents or accidents. Submit reports as required. Adherence to Regulations: Ensure compliance with all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies regarding vehicle use. Other Duties: Assist with various ad-hoc errands, such as transporting equipment or supplies, as required. Establish a safeguarding culture across all levels of the programme by implementing the safeguarding policy. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment. Responsible to ensure team members are appropriately trained, supported and have access to resources regarding issues that are identified and actioned in accordance with the safeguarding policy and procedure. Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (No accidents or major violations in the last 3 years). Minimum of 3 years of experience as a driver, preferably in a corporate or executive setting. Good knowledge of local roads, traffic patterns, and transportation routes. Basic mechanical knowledge to handle minor vehicle issues (e.g., changing a flat tire etc.). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, late evenings and/or weekends when necessary. Knowledge of and adherence to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Familiarity with GPS tools and mapping software. Familiar with driving long distances and across regions. Safe Driving Practices: A proven track record of safe driving with extensive knowledge of road safety regulations and defensive driving techniques. Navigation Skills: Familiarity with using GPS, road maps, and alternative routes for optimal travel planning. Customer Service: Ability to provide excellent service while interacting with company executives, clients, and other stakeholders in a professional, courteous, and helpful manner. Time Management: Strong ability to manage travel schedules, ensuring timely arrivals and departure while factoring in travel time, routes, and any delays. Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain accurate travel logs, vehicle maintenance records, and receipts for fuel or tolls. Mechanical Knowledge: Basic understanding of vehicle operation and minor troubleshooting to handle small issues on the road, such as flat tires or low fuel. Professionalism: Maintaining a clean and professional appearance, as well as ensuring the vehicle is always clean and presentable. Problem Solving: Ability to manage unplanned delays, accidents, or schedule changes effectively while minimizing disruption to the workday JHS/SHS/Diploma/HND/Degree: Concentration / Major
