Jumbo Operator
Job Description
Operating a jumbo drill rig to drill holes in rock faces for blasting. Following drilling patterns and specifications provided by engineers. Adjusting drilling speed and pressure based on rock conditions. Drilling blast holes for tunnels, stopes and ore extraction. Assisting in ground support installation (bolting, meshing, and shotcreting). Creating accurate drill patterns to maximize efficiency and safety. Inspect work area before and after use of equipment to ensure safety and compliance. Reporting hazards, near-misses, or incidents to supervisor. Ensure all daily checklists and reports are completed accurately and timely. Responsible for housekeeping surrounding work area and dust control. Ensure routine maintenance and repair of equipment. Follow safety protocols and regulations to prevent incident and accidents. Communicate with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure productivity. Ensure adherence to environmental regulations and minimize damage to surrounding areas. Record and report any issue or incident to management for resolution. A minimum of three (3) years progressively responsible experience in a similar role, preferably in a gold mining environment. Must possess a valid Ghanaian driving and operating licenses (C & E Classes) and able to drive man-ual SUV. Must be able to operate and have experience in operating Jumbo equipment. Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to Jumbo Operating. Flexibility and willingness to assist with varied tasks and responsibilities. Willingness to work in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions Must demonstrate strong work ethics and be able to communicate courteously with co-workers. Hazard identification and risk assessment knowledge and skills. Ability to work under pressure and have the desire to learn and achieve. Ability to workday and night rotation. Good verbal and written communication in English.
Requirement(s)

Must possess a valid Ghanaian driving and operating licenses (C & E Classes) and able to drive man-ual SUV. Must be able to operate and have experience in operating Jumbo equipment.
