Truck Driver
Job Description
As a Truck Driver, your primary responsibility will be the safe and timely transportation of goods from one location to another using a commercial motor vehicle. You will play a crucial role in the logistics and supply chain management of the organization, ensuring that products are delivered efficiently and in adherence to applicable regulations.
Requirement(s)
Key Responsibilities: Operate and drive various types of commercial motor vehicles, such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, or delivery trucks. Follow designated routes and schedules to deliver goods to customers or specified destinations. Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies while operating the vehicle. Safely load and unload cargo, ensuring proper distribution and securing of items to prevent damage during transit. Verify the accuracy of shipments and maintain detailed records of cargo. Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure its mechanical soundness. Report any mechanical issues, defects, or malfunctions to the appropriate maintenance personnel. Complete and maintain accurate records, including logbooks, mileage records, and delivery receipts. Ensure all necessary permits and licenses are up-to-date and comply with federal, state, and local regulation. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues that may arise during transit. Follow established procedures in the event of an accident or emergency, including reporting incidents to the appropriate authorities and the company. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Must have license C or above. Clean driving record with no major traffic violations. Proven experience as a truck driver or similar role may be required. Knowledge of and adherence to transportation and safety regulation Excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic laws. Physical stamina to endure long hours on the road. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to handle unexpected situations.
