Information Security Manager
Job Description
The Information Security Manager will be responsible for establishing and maintaining the enterprise vision, strategy, and programs to ensure information assets and technologies are adequately protected. The role oversees the development, implementation, and management of the organizations information security program, ensuring alignment with business objectives and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Critical Deliverables /Core Accountabilities and Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: Develop and drive the organization's information security strategy and roadmap. Align information security initiatives with business goals and objectives. Governance and Compliance: Establish and enforce information security policies, standards, and procedures. Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA,ISO 27001). Risk Management: Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and controls. Develop and implement a comprehensive cyber security strategy and roadmap for the organization. Lead and manage a team of cyber security professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations. Oversee the operation and maintenance of Letshego’s organization's cyber security infrastructure, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and vulnerability scanning tools. Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability scans to identify potential weaknesses and threats to our systems and networks. Monitor and analyze security logs and alerts to identify and respond to security incidents and breaches in a timely manner. Incident Management and Response: Lead the organizations response to information security incidents and breaches. Coordinate with relevant stakeholders during incident detection, containment, and recovery. Foster a culture of security awareness, training, and continuous improvement. Develop and implement incident response plans and procedures to effectively respond to and mitigate cyber security incidents. Monitor and analyze security logs and alerts to identify and respond to security incidents and breaches in a timely manner. Collaboration and Engagement: Engage with external partners, vendors, and stakeholders on information security matters. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the implementation of appropriate security controls and best practices across all departments Technology and Innovation: Stay abreast of emerging information security trends, threats, and technologies. Evaluate and implement advanced security solutions, technologies, and best practices. Minimum Job Requirements: Proven experience (5+ years) in cyber security, Security Networking including significant experience in a leadership role. Extensive experience in information security, with progressive leadership responsibilities. Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing information security strategies and programs. Academic Requirements: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA,CEH,OSCP) are highly desirable. · Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Experience: Strong knowledge of cyber security principles, technologies, and best practices. Familiarity with relevant security frameworks and standards, such as Cybersecurity Framework, CIS Controls, etc. Skilled in conducting risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities. Ability to prioritize risks and develop strategies to mitigate them effectively A deep understanding of cyber security principles and technologies, . Excellent communication skills are necessary to effectively communicate complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. The role should be able to collaborate with cross-functional team. Good interpersonal and teamwork skills. Flexibility to respond and adapt to new, different, or changing situations, requirements, or priorities. Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities are essential for identifying security gaps, analyzing complex security issues, and developing effective solutions.
