Job Description

A Warehouse Manager is a professional responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective operation of a warehouse or distribution center. Their role involves managing inventory, coordinating logistics, and ensuring the smooth flow of goods in and out of the warehouse.

Requirement(s)

Responsibilities: Oversee inventory levels and ensure accurate tracking of stock. Implement systems to minimize stock discrepancies and maintain optimal stock levels. Coordinate the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, ensuring timely and efficient operations. Lead and manage warehouse staff, including supervisors, pickers, packers, and other team members. Conduct training and performance evaluations. Enforce safety protocols and compliance with health and safety regulations. Implement and maintain warehouse security measures. Implement quality control processes to ensure the accuracy and condition of incoming and outgoing goods. Plan and optimize warehouse layout for efficient space utilization. Streamline workflows to minimize bottlenecks. Implement and utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and other technology to improve efficiency and accuracy. Develop and manage budgets for warehouse operations. Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to optimize the supply chain and ensure timely deliveries. Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices. Regularly assess and update warehouse procedures. Qualifications: Strong leadership skills to guide and motivate warehouse staff. Must have a First Degree in warehousing and supply chain management. 5 years working experience Effective communication skills to coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, and logistics partners. Strong organizational skills to manage inventory and warehouse operations. Ability to quickly address and resolve operational challenges. Analytical mindset to assess warehouse performance and identify areas for improvement. Sound decision-making skills to optimize warehouse processes. Familiarity with warehouse management systems and other relevant technology. Flexibility to adapt to changes in demand, inventory, or operational requirements. Oriented towards meeting customer delivery expectations and providing excellent service. Understanding of warehouse and logistics regulations and compliance requirements.
